QVD Links

QVD links help you navigate an application that generates a QVD file at an instant.

Make sure to have Soterre Helper turned on.

Navigate to the QVD file in data load editor

In your Qlik Sense application, proceed to the Data Load Editor and search for the line that references the QVD file:

Activate the dynamic QVD links

Soterre DevOps Analytics detects QVD links referenced using variables in data connection paths of the following form:

1. FROM [lib://$(DirName)/$(fileName).qvd]
2. FROM [lib://$(FilePath).qvd]
3. FROM [lib://ADWH META$(FilePath)/$(FileName.qvd)]

For (1) and (2) the QVD Links icons initially appear in grey, since Soterre DevOps Analytics needs to know the values of the variables. To define values to the variables you need to launch the Debug Mode.

Navigate to the app

After completing Debug in the Data Load Editor, all the QVD link icons should appear in purple. Click on the link to redirect to the Qlik app which generates the relevant QVD file.
